The thing I like about Rachel’s interpretation of this demon is that she just always looks so annoyed… “Oh, they’re shooting me with bullets.” She just always plays things like she’s waiting for everyone else to catch up. Which I find delightful.

I really want you guys to start watching the new show Legit if you haven’t seen it already. One of the three leads is played by DJ Qualls, which is why I checked it out, because I love him as Garth on Supernatural.
He plays Billy, a quadriplegic with muscular dystrophy. The way Billy is written, while based in a comedic show, is actually very, very realistic. Many of Billy’s scenes in the two episodes I’ve watched have reflected moments from my own life as a quadriplegic. Even better still, Legit employs several actors with real disabilities and represents a wide variety of our particular minority on television. Even though DJ Qualls is not himself disabled (I usually prefer disabled characters to be played by disabled actors), his portrayal of Billy is highly convincing and it’s even difficult for me to remember that he’s a healthy man. He brings certain humanity, normality, and realism to playing a man with muscular dystrophy that I haven’t seen on television. Quadriplegics and paraplegics as main characters on television shows are about as rare as Bigfoot sightings and they’re often portrayed as caricatures rather than realistic. Finding a balance between comedy and realism is even rarer.
Last night I got to bend DJ’s ear a little bit about playing a quadriplegic (his character has muscular dystrophy and I have something else called arthrogryposis) and he was very kind about answering my question. I have about 5,000 other questions but I don’t want to be a bother!
In conclusion, Supernatural fandom, I highly urge you to support one of our own in his new show as well as urging you to support greater diversity in the media. Diversity is not just limited to LGBTQ characters or characters of different races.
Just a note to say I’m off to the murky depths of the Fenlands again this weekend (codename for my fiancé’s place) so if I go super quiet or don’t reply to something I really should do for ages, it’s because I’m there. I’ll get back to anything and everything you lovely folk leave for me, so please leave me stuff, stuff makes me smile :)
ciao for now <3
(( -giggles- yeah I know ;) ))
Dean shut his eyes and puckered up a little, his hands just touching her waist because he wasn’t really sure what he should be doing with them. When she pulled away, he slowly opened his eyes to look into hers and smiled.
"Whoever gave you that dare… you should hang out with them more often." He joked. "You ain’t bad at that. Name’s Dean, by the way." He added, holding his hand out to shake hers, but coyly lead it to his mouth so he could kiss her knuckles instead, turning on the charm because hey, why not? She kissed him, after all.
i literally dont talk to anyone unless they talk to me first
OH MY GOD DEAN WAS PROBABLY LIKE THE GUARDIAN ANGEL OF STANFORD
theres no way john left sam alone like that he probably sent dean after sam and dean just sat and watched from afar and even though sammy was his first priority he kept an eye out for anything that seemed supernatural-saving people,…
The only two times all four Winchesters were together during the show
if you’re somewhere dark and scary and you think ‘this feels like the first five minutes of supernatural or a horror movie’ then start walking like a dinosaur for no apparent reason. because no-one in the first five minutes of supernatural or a horror movie would start walking like a dinosaur for no apparent reason.
